Gifts from the Sea:  The Health Benefits of Fish and Other Seafood

According to the American Heart Association, you should eat at least two servings of fish per week. Fish is a good source of omega-3 fatty acids which are good for your heart. However, in recent years, fish and seafood in general have received a lot of negative publicity. Many people are concerned mercury and other contaminants may outweigh seafood’s healthy benefits.

A recent article published by the Mayo Clinic stated “the heart healthy benefits of eating fish far outweigh any risks.
